Ore-to-Awesome

The three steps in the process of graphite production…

•           Stage 1 – Graphite in its first form after being mined.

Within this ore is approximately 3-4% graphite.

•           Stage 2 – Intercalated Graphite.

Graphite after it has been extracted from the ore and treated.

•           Stage 3 – Raw Intercalated Graphite exposed to heat.

Subject to heat exposure graphite will increase in volume and

does not burn, this is why we use it in our FlexiFire compound.

This expansion guarantees that the voids in a fire door will

be filled, preventing the spread of smoke & fire…
